Contrast Induce Nephropathy (CIN) is defined by an increase from preprocedural to post-porcedural creatinine values of .5 or greater for a patient not currently on dialysis prior to PCI.

Transfusion reflects any transfusion of either whole blood or packed red blood cells between the start of the PCI procedure and until next procedure or discharge.

In-hospital mortality is based on recorded hospital discharge status, reflection deaths occuring during the hospital stay where PCI was performed, and consequently discharge of a deceased patient.
